The Anna University conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for students applying to various engineering courses in Tamil Nadu. Every year, TNEA is conducted in the month of May for the admission to undergraduate engineering courses in the state of Tamil Nadu.
TNEA 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for TNEA exam must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognised board.
Applicants must have secured minimum 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
For Candidates applying for Marine Engineering program:
Candidates applying for marine engineering program through TNEA exam are required to secure minimum 50% marks in English and an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Such candidates must satisfy the other criteria, which are mentioned below:
The aspirant must not be above 25 years old.
The application’s height must be at least 157cm.
The candidate must weigh minimum 48 kg.
The applicant must have normal colour vision.
Medical fitness is essential for admissions.
