Lovely Professional University (LPU) was established in the year 2005 under the Punjab State University. It is a private University which has been accredited by University Grants Commission (UGC). The University has a Campus area of 600 Acres, which has been efficiently occupied by Academic Blocks, Administration Block, Library, and other amenities.

The Motto of Lovely Professional University states, “Transforming Education, Transforming India”, the University aims to transform the world through the medium of education. LPU has experienced faculty members who are an expert in their respective fields. The main aim of the University is to ensure all the facilities to the students in order to help them achieve their goals and fulfil their aspirations.

There are many students who are unable to cope up with the fee structures of the educational institutions. Thereby, keeping in sight this issue, the Lovely Professional University provides Scholarships to the deserving students. The scholarship is based on the percent marks acquired by a student in the previous qualifying degree. The Scholarships are for:

Moreover, LPU conducts its own National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST). This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programs, and the amount of scholarship is based on the academic fee of the program and student’s performance in LPUNEST.

In today’s time, there is a need of education for every student to attain a good job or to secure future, but it might happen when somebody is not able to attend College due to some reasons. Thereby, Universities offer Distance Education. Similarly, LPU proved Distance Education Learning Programmes to various students in the fields of Management, Arts, Commerce and Library and Information Sciences.

LPU offers Undergraduate, Graduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral and Post Doctoral academic courses to the students in the fields of Science, Arts, and Commerce. There are 56 Academic Departments in the University and also, the University offers Regular and Part-time Courses.

LPU promotes academic qualifications, but it also puts emphasis on the students’ involvement in Sports and Cultural Activities. There are various events organised by the University where students are able to showcase their talent(s). Also, the students are awarded Certificates, Medals, and Trophies on their achievements. LPU has witnessed progress in all its disciples and many students have got jobs in companies of higher demeanour.
