1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from a recognized board.

• For Engineering, the mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). A minimum of 45% marks is required for general category candidates, while reserved category candidates get relaxation to 40%.

• For Pharmacy, candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and one of Mathematics/Biology/Technical Vocational Subjects. Similarly, the minimum marks criteria are 45% (general) and 40% (reserved).

• For Agriculture, the required subject group is either PCM or PCB, depending on the course.

• Candidates who are currently appearing for the 10+2 exam are also eligible to apply, provided they clear the exam before counselling.

2. Age Limit

• Engineering programs have no age restrictions.

• For Pharmacy and Medical programs, candidates must be at least 17 years old by December of the examination year.

• For Agriculture courses, the minimum age is 16 years.

3. Domicile/Nationality

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for BCECE.

• Candidates must satisfy the Bihar domicile criteria, which includes:

  • Being a native of Bihar

  • Residents whose parents work/govern in Bihar

  • Families relocated under government provisions

  • Individuals with 10+ years of continuous residence in Bihar despite not studying there

4. Medical Examination

• For Medical and Pharmacy programs, candidates must pass a medical fitness test as part of the admission process.

1. Visit Official Site & Register

• Go to the BCECEB official website and click on the “New Registration” or “Apply Online” link.

• Register using your valid email ID and mobile number, and verify via OTP.

• Create a login/password and note down your registration number.

2. Complete the Application Form

• Log in with your registration credentials.

• Fill in personal details, academic credentials, and contact information.

• Choose your subject combination (e.g., PCM, PCMB, etc.).

3. Upload Required Documents

Upload the following in the specified formats:

• Recent passport-size photograph

• Signature

• 10th and 12th mark sheets

• Domicile certificate (if applicable)

• Valid ID proof

Ensure images meet size and format guidelines.

4. Review & Submit

• Carefully review your filled application to correct any mistakes before submission.

5. Pay the Application Fee

• Pay via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI, etc.

• Note: The fee is non-refundable.

6. Application Correction Window

• The correction window is expected to open in the 2nd week of May 2026.

• Limited fields can be modified online during this short window.

7. Download & Save Confirmation

• After successful submission, download and print a copy of your application for future use.

Key Points to Remember

• The exam is offline (pen-and-paper based). Do not confuse with online mode.

• Start the process early, note the dates and prepare required documents in advance.

• Ensure the registration email and mobile number are active, used for login and notifications.

1. Registration & Choice Filling

• Qualified candidates must register online on the BCECEB counselling portal using their Roll Number and Rank details.

• Pay the counselling fee, which is typically around:

  • ₹1,200 for General / BC / EBC

  • ₹600 for SC / ST / PWD 

• Select preferred colleges and courses, this step is critical as seat allotment is based on these preferences. 

2. Choice Locking & Seat Matrix Release

• Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline. Editing afterward is typically disabled. 

• BCECE Board releases a Seat Matrix to aid candidates in planning their preferences effectively. 

3. Seat Allotment Rounds

The counselling generally comprises three rounds:

• Round 1 & Round 2: Seat allotment based on merit, category, and choices. Each round includes:

  • Provisional seat allotment → Objection window → Final seat allotment → Download allotment order.

  • Document verification follows for confirmed seats. 

• Mop-up Round: For filling remaining vacancies post-round 2. Registration and choice filling required again. 

4. Document Verification & Reporting

• After each allotment, candidates must report to the designated verification centre with all required documents, such as:

  • BCECE Admit Card & Rank Card

  • 10th & 12th mark sheets and certificates

  • Domicile & Caste certificate

  • Identity proof (Aadhar/Voter ID)

  • Allotment order and counselling fee receipt

5. Fee Payment & Seat Confirmation

• Following verification, candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

• If they wish to upgrade, they can opt for the next round; otherwise, they must accept and complete verification.

• The entire process is online, from registration to seat allotment. 

• Ensure you keep a printed copy of all allotment letters, choice slips, and fee receipts.

• Timely registration and choosing preferences strategically can greatly improve your seat chances.
