Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts an exam for selection of Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) in the mechanical department of Indian Railways. Selected candidates will undergo four-year apprenticeship program.
UPSC SCRA 2023 will be conducted in two stages i.e. written test and personality test.

Candidate should pass 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognised board.
Applicant should also have studied either Physics or Chemistry at 10+2 level.
Candidate must have secured first or second division in the qualifying examination.
Candidate should be between 17 to 21 years of age as on August 2023.

The registration for UPSC SCRA 2023 will be done in two phases.
First, the candidate will need to visit the official website of UPSC SCRA i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in and click on the “Apply Online” link.
Fill up all the mandatory details to complete the Registration Part I.
After completing the Registration Part I, click on the “Save” and press “Continue” button to move to the next part.
Now register for part II, fill up your registration ID (received on your mail ID), date of birth, upload your scanned photograph and signature.
Make payment of application fee via online mode and take a print out of the application form after final submission.
