1. Educational Qualification

   • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline from a recognized university.

   • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks (may vary depending on the institute applied to).

   • Final-year students of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree before the admission process of 2026.

2. Age Limit

   • There is no age restriction for appearing in NMAT 2026.

3. Work Experience (if required)

   • Work experience is not mandatory to appear for NMAT.

   • However, some institutes give preference to candidates with relevant professional experience during admission.

4. Number of Attempts

   • A candidate can appear for NMAT up to 3 times in one testing window (1 main attempt + 2 retakes).

   • The best score out of the attempts is considered for shortlisting.

5. Nationality

   • Both Indian and international candidates are eligible.

   • Foreign students, PIOs, and NRIs with valid GMAT scores may also apply for certain institutes accepting NMAT.

1. Registration

• Visit the official NMAT by GMAC website.
• Click on “Register” and create a profile using your name, valid email ID, and mobile number.
• Verify your account via the confirmation email.

2. Filling the Application Form

• Log in and fill out details such as:
  • Personal information (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality)
  • Academic qualifications (10th, 12th, Graduation details)
  • Work experience (if any)
  • Choice of MBA/PGDM programs and preferred colleges
• Upload a recent passport-size photograph as per specifications.

3. Exam Scheduling

• After successful registration, candidates can select their exam date, time slot, and test center.
• Option to choose Online Proctored Exam at Home is also available.

4. Application Fee Payment

• Pay the application fee online via Credit Card/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
• Application Fee: ₹3,000 (subject to official update).
• Additional fees apply for rescheduling or retaking the exam.

5. Confirmation & Admit Card

• Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email.
• The NMAT 2026 Admit Card can be downloaded from the student dashboard 7 days prior to your exam date.

Important Points to Remember

• Candidates can attempt NMAT up to 3 times (1 main attempt + 2 retakes).
• The best score will be considered for admission.
• The exam can be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.
• Candidates must also apply separately to their preferred B-schools (e.g., NMIMS, KJ Somaiya, XIMB).

1. Registration Fee: ₹3,000
   • Includes scheduling the exam and sending scores to 5 preferred B-schools.
      
2. Additional Score Report (per B-school beyond 5): ₹400 + taxes per program/institute 
    
3. Rescheduling Fee: ₹1,200 + taxes
   • Candidates can reschedule the exam within the testing window by paying this fee.
      
4. Retake Fee: Same as registration fee (₹3,000)
   • Aspirants can retake the NMAT up to 2 times after their first attempt.

1. Declaration of Results

• NMAT 2026 results will be available on the official NMAT by GMAC portal.
• Candidates can download their scorecard within 48 hours of their exam attempt.

2. Application to Institutes

• Apart from the NMAT registration, candidates must apply separately to B-schools that accept NMAT scores (e.g., NMIMS, XIMB).
• Only those who have applied to the institute will be considered for shortlisting.

3. Shortlisting for GD/PI/WAT

• Institutes release their own cutoff lists based on NMAT scores.
• Shortlisted candidates are invited for the next admission rounds, which may include:
  • Group Discussion (GD) or Case Discussion (CD)
  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

4. Final Selection

• The final merit list is prepared considering:
  • NMAT 2026 score
  • Performance in GD/WAT/PI
  • Past academic records
  • Work experience (if applicable)
  • Overall profile & achievements

5. Admission & Fee Payment

• Selected candidates receive admission offers from the respective institutes.
• They must confirm their seat by paying the admission fee within the given deadline.
