Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, AVIT was established in the year 1998 as an affiliated institution under the University of Madras. It was later affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. In 2004, the institution was brought under the ambit of Vinayaka Missions University, Salem.

Course Name	Eligibility	Placement
Master of Technology (M.Tech.)	The candidate should have passed B.E/B.Tech. from a recognized university. Selection wil be on the basis of as per the university norms.	-
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)	A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with individual pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths. For Biotechnology, Biomedical courses a pass in 10.+2 or its equivalent with individual pass in English, Maths/Biology, Physics & Chemistry.	-
Master of Business Administration	The candidate should have passed graduation from a recognized university. Selection will be on the basis of as per the university norms.	-
Master of Computer Applications (MCA)	A pass in a Bachelor's Degree of any recognized university with Mathematics/ Statistics as either the main or allied subject at the degree level OR Mathematics as one of the subjects in the Higher Secondary level. AVIT has good study environment. Good campus faculty with better hostel life. Its have been honour to study here. Its has 8 more campus from Chennai, Pudducherry, Selem, Paiaynoor etc. Its has college and hospital both.

This is one of the best colleges in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The teaching staff and non-teaching staff are the best in the campus. Infrastructure is also good here. We frequently visit industries and many other companies related to our course. The college is a tobacco free area.

DUPLICATE This is one the best colleges in and around Chennai. I have been studying here for past 3 years. I have had the best time here in the campus. Talking about the infrastructure, it has 2 canteens with well-equipped seats, we have well equipped gym both in girl's hostel and boy's hostel.
