Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Siddaganga Institute Of Technology is affiliated to Vivesvarya Technological University, Belgaum. The institute offers Technology programs. The Institute is one of the 14 Engineering Colleges under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) a World Bank Project, administered by the Government of Karnataka in the state and is granted Academic Autonomy from the Year 2007-08. From the academic year 2007-08 the 1st Semester is run under the autonomous status. Its undergraduate courses are Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), an Autonomous body of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The institute offers on campus placement to maximum number of students.
Infrastructures
The institute has a number of facilities for the ease of its students which include Hostels, Health Center, IBM Center for Excellence, Incubation Center and a Library.
Classroom
All classrooms well furnished.
Laboratory
The insttute has 29 computer centres housing 1447 Computer Systems located in different departments, in addition 250 computers for the faculty. Each of these centres are connected with a LAN. The total number of computers in these centres is more than 1447, with latest configurations. All the computer centres and other computer facilities such as the Library & Information centre and the Industrial Competency Laboratory and the hostels are connected through a campus wide network with Fibre Optic
Library
The library, centrally located in the campus, is housed in two independent 3 - storeyed buildings having a plinth area of 1500 Sq Mts. The library building was built by a donation recived from Sri T.N. Kempahonnaiah, a philanthropist from Tumkur. The library is having a collection of 70,000 volumes that includes 25,000 volumes under the Book Bank and about 7600 volumes under SC/ST Book Bank.
