Review for RNSIT, Bengaluru. Good college for it branches.

RNSIT is one of the reputed college in Bangalore ranking in top 10 among all colleges affiliated to VTU. But from the last 2 year its placement is going down but still it is good for IT branches like CSE, ISE, ECE. Bt for mechanical & civil it is better to go for another option.

Competition in diversity, an atmosphere which gets everyone to get up and take the extra mile

The college has developed an atmosphere which encourages competition. Believing that a college is known by the atmosphere it sets, we find a lot of students that may not be good at certain things such as technical knowledge, or the intuition to innovate but are driven by the thought of success and accomplishment solely on having a self conscious environment of moving forward with ones ability rather than moving along the lines of everyone present. And this, according to me is the quality that stands out about this college. The college does not control the atmosphere too much as to make everyone follow the same path but to provide a sense of competition for each student to realize their potential and move forward with ones consciousness.

RNSIT-An Institution really with a difference

My perception about college life came from the Bollywood movies I watched during my childhood days.Lush green garden, a big auditorium, professors, bikes and cars and what not. When I first came to this college I was surprised by the supportive management of the college. Normally you would hear about the lack of good management in the colleges but ours is such that you can visit the Director or Principal with ease. The academicians are also highly educated and experienced, the notes they provide us helps us a lot by lowering the burden right before the exams. The lab in charges are also quite helpful and help you understand the experiment well. The college boasts of a huge yet outdated library which remains open until midnight for hostellers. The hostel is well constructed even though it lacks basic amenities such as WiFi and water cooler. The mess serves different varieties of vegetarian dishes but lacks a proper menu. The hostel timings are very flexible and the guards allow you to enter a "bit" late on weekends on the permission from the chief warden. The management listens to the students and their grievances and this is one thing that surprised me the most. Overall the college has a balanced curriculum and promotes cultural activities.

Satisfied with academics, other areas need improvement

Placements-Regarding placements, RNSIT has many core companies visiting.If you are computer or an information science student you would be having a lot of opportunities of getting placed. Since i am a third year student as of now i know that there are a little difficulties for mechanical and civil students getting placed. BOSCH, SEIMENS, INFOSYS Recruit a good number of students.To end up,people opt RNSIT mainly for placement purpose. Infrastructure-It has good infrastructure when compared to other colleges of Bangalore. Efficient labs.Wifi facilties are also available for hostellers. RNSIT canteen has been the best canteen till date. Faculty-Friendly. Some of the faculties have lot of knowledge. They clarify all our doubts. Good to not to mess with of the faculties.
