College bears testimony to Dr Rafiq Zakaria’s foresight and vision and the transformation of this vision into reality by Mrs Fatma Rafiq Zakaria in recognizing the need for a college of education exclusively for girls. The girls of Aurangabad otherwise would have been deprived of this professional training due to paucity of D. Ed Colleges in Urdu and English medium in the city. College aims at training teachers of Urdu and English and imbibes in them the spirit of secularism and national integration.

Model D. Ed College is a modern imposing building with spacious classrooms to seat groups of 50 to 60 students. Latest electronic teaching aids like Audio Visual Class room, TV, VCD’S and Overhead Projectors (OHPs) are used during the lectures and seminars to make for interesting interaction.
Laboratory
A well equipped laboratory in Educational Technology. The College also has an established Psychological laboratory and A well equipped science laboratory with plenty of apparatus and equipments related to teaching of science.
