Mangalam college of engineering consist of 5 departments in total where Civil engineering department is best in keeping good faculty - student interaction compared to other and also most of the teachers are very committed in making the students to have a good result. And the department have its own library room along with the main library room.In every weeks,teachers conducts two test papers based on the lessons that they have taught before.Exam time tables and Questions will be given prior to the test.Also the department have very good infrastructure facilities such as in-campus canteen, ATM, Fitness centre,prayer hall and Wi-Fi.Internal marks given to the students are truly based on the marks obtained in various testes conducted on classes and the overall behaviour of student in class.Now the college education board has changed from MG University to Kerala Technical University.So syllabus has changed and teachers are making best of their effort to mould up the students with the new syllabus by providing additional classes upto night which wasn't conducted ever before.The main drawback of the department is that there is no faculty in Civil department who have done PHD in their educational level,but they have post graduation in their respective disciplines.Teachers are very supportive in helping students to grow up their talents both in co-curricular and extra curricular activities.Also the department have a committee called 'MASS' an abbreviation of 'Makers of Architectural and Structural Symphony'.After every internal exams teachers arranges meetings with students and parents to find the proper remedies to improve marks in upcoming exams.College have a very good class rooms and labs facilities for all branches.Most of department heads the are coming from IIT background.There is a well discipline system in both college and Hostel.There are separate and vast hostel facilities for girls and boys.College is well known for state level Basket Ball Competition.In every year,different departments will combine to form different teams for art fest called 'SARANG 'and the mechanical department conducts very astonishing Auto-Expo with good collection of World wide famous cars and bikes.
