Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024LALBABA COLLEGE (LBC) is an "Abode of excellent education". The college was started functioning on August 5, 1964 and it has received UGC recognition under 2f in August 1965. LBC is one of the foremost colleges of West Bengal, best known for producing inquisitive minds. College offers advanced programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce domain. The college is affiliated to University of Calcutta & also gone for NAAC Accreditation in 2004 and has received B+ Grade with an institutional score of 78%. College has an amalgamation of more than three thousand five hundred students, more than sixty full-time and part-time lecturers, who trained students in their respective field and makes them infallible. The mission of the college is stated in the spirit of the founder spiritual leader Lalbaba to provide a collegiate educational complex 'where along with university curriculum sincere efforts should also be made to enable the learners to think clearly and act rightly.

The college provides placement support to the students after successful completion of courses.

The college has good environment with effective infrastructure. Well maintained classroom, auditorium and playground provides a unique environment for learning and shaping minds. The college also provides hostel facilities and systematic procedures for learning approach.

The College has open and air conditioned classrooms, which are well equipped with modern facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead Projects. The seating are designed to provide students with complete comfort for the intense hours of classrooms teaching and interaction.

College has separate computer laboratory for the students. The computer laboratory is well equipped with Seventeen computers, which are inter-connected through Local Area Network (LAN). The computer laboratory of the college provides practical knowledge to students. Students of the college for whom computer training has been made mandatory by the University can make use of it for academic purpose.
Library
The library of the college provides sound knowledge to its students, faculty and researchers. The library of the college has a collection of more than 24,000 books, subscribes 11 journals and daily newspapers. The library gets financial assistance from the University Grants Commission (UGC).
