Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Jyothi Engineering College (JEC) prepares skilled hand & cultivated minded engineers for the nation. JEC College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Calicut. JEC comes under the umbrella of Thrissur Educational Trust, which was incepted by the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur, started functioning at Cheruthuruthy in the year 2002. In a short span of time College is shining like a star & known as a fourth Best Engineering College in the State and Third position among the Engineering Colleges.

Placement
The training & placement cell handles the campus placement for the students. The placement cell of the JEC engineering college provides world class infrastructure amenities for the recruitment process such as arrangements for the Group discussions, mock interviews, written test pre-placement talks etc. The objective of the placement cell is to develop student’s soft skills through in house and external agency program and organising campus placement by inviting top leading firms in JEC campus. JEC engineering college Campus has been approved by Indian Army & Indian Navy to conduct their preliminary recruitments and they have been conducting their preliminary recruitment drives from 2008 batch onwards. Firms like M/S Infosys Bangalore & UST Global Trivan- drum regularly taking participating in the campus recruitment since 2006.
Infrastructures
Jyothi Engineering College incorporates top class infrastructure with three lakh Sq. Feet of build up area. The Campus contains various facilities like Administrative Block, Academic Blocks (Eastern & western), Mens and Ladies hostel, an extension counter of the Federal Bank, a co-operative store to cater the needs of the students a canteen and a gymnasium.
Classroom
All classrooms are provided with overhead projectors while seminar hall is provided with an LCD projector. The computer lab is equipped with multimedia facilities and provide networking. In addition to this a 1Mbps dedicated leased line optical fibre internet connection. JEC engineering college provides computing facility to all departments. All the departments are fully kit out with computers and printer with necessary software relevant to their disciplines. The entire computers are connected to LAN facility.

JEC engineering college library is extended in an area of 758 Esq. and is set up in the administrative block spanning 2 floors with a seating capacity of 300 students. The library has a rich collection 22049 volumes consisting of 8077 titles in various domains of science and technology.
