Jai Narain College of Technology was established by Jai Narain Siksha Samiti, an offshoot of H.K. Kulchuri Education Trust which is running a number of Technical Colleges in M.P. & C.G. since 1993. The mission statement of the college, as stated earlier translates into producing new generation of engineers, with all round excellence in frontier areas of technology, so that the product is able to face the harsh realities and challenges of the competitiveness in the new global industrial order.

Library
College has a rich library with 31850 books. Two books are given on loan for 14 days. Besides, every student is given one of the prescribed Text Books of each subject of study for the entire semester of which he/she is currently a student. There is also one period per week for inculcating library visit habit, in which the student is expected to read in the Reading room.
