Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Jagannath Institute for Technology and Management came into being out of the vision of Shri Alluri Murthy Raju and was established under the JITM trust. The institute was set up with the aim to bring technical education to the rural areas and produce highly skilled technical personnel with exceptional calibre for various sectors in the industry. JITM are a self-financing institute and were affiliated to Berhampur University. JITM got affiliated to the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela from the academic year 2003 - 2004. The institute has also been granted recognition under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The institute has well equipped with all the modern facilities.
Classroom
The Institute have two fully furnished lecture hall complexes with 28 classrooms. There is a separate conference room and an audiovisual room with the most modern facilities. Each classroom has the capacity to seat 64 students. The lecture hall complexes are divided into two blocks, CRC - I is for the Basic Sciences Department & class works and CRC - II for all Engineering Departments. Library
The fully computerized library is a learners' paradise. It is an invaluable resource with approximately 20, 000 books to cater the needs of students and faculty members. The library has a wide range of books on Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical & allied subjects. The library subscribes to a number of foreign and Indian journals related to advanced technologies and computing. It remains open for fairly long hours everyday for the convenience of the students.
