A.J Institute of Management (AJIM) was established in the year of 1999, the institute functions under Laxmi Memorial Education Trust.The institute own academic philosophy by keeping two ideologies of education on priority creation of new knowledge and achieving par excellence.The MBA programme offerd by AJIM is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi and Govt. of Karnataka.The vision of AJIM is to be the centre of excellence in Management Education by continuously benchmarking itself against the world's best. As an institution with a difference, it looks beyond its boundaries and strives hard to achieve better of the best in Management Education.

Placement
The institute has full-fledged placement center for career guidance, as well as job placement of the trainees. The institute has already entered into collaboration with a leading concern for online placements at Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Institute has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Canara Small Industries Associaiton (CSIA), St. Mary’s College, Shirva and Govind Dasa College, Surathkal for student empowerment through training consultancy and summer placement. Similarly institute has also developed understanding with many financial organizations like Met Life, HDFC, Mahindra Finance, Birla Sunlife , Reliance Money etc., for hands on experience through summer placements and final placements.

The classrooms/ lecture halls in the college are well ventilated.
Laboratory
The college has a state-of-art computer laboratory equipped with 60 P-IV nodes on LAN system with free internet access through 512 Kbps broadband facility.
