The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers is affiliated to University of Delhi. The college offers Diploma course in Railway Engineering. The aim of the institution is to facilitate dissemination and sharing of technical knowledge relating to design, construction and maintenance of bridges and other structures amongst the persons associated with it. To this end, the institution promotes and arranges seminars, lectures,  discussions, exhibitions etc. for the information and benefit of the members of the institution and also publishes and circulates Technical information to facilitate interchange and sharing of ideas.
