It was started under the guidance of the University of Kerala. It is the 16th University to be established in India and also the first in the State of Kerala. The vision of the Institute is to create a generation of powerful, value driven individuals who could take humanity to the most glorious of civilizations.

Placement
The Institute has a full-fledged winter & final placement cell headed by a Placement Co-ordinator. The Placement cell ensures that all our students get the opportunity to face campus interviews in good companies and take up jobs according to their preferences. It uses a structured programme, which helps the students to identify their potential, enhance and channelize them to match the requirements of the job market. The cell attracts prospective employers year after year on an increasing magnitude and enjoys a 100% placement record. Also students are provided with exposure, access and practical experience with an organization with the help of seminars and workshops conducted by the institute.
Infrastructures
The institute is housed in the most elite and state of the art student campus of the University of Kerala, the Karyavattom Campus. Spread across many acres, the Campus boasts of a fully fledged library, which is subscribed to high profile current affairs literature and an attached computer lab with high-speed internet facility. The campus also possesses a Football court, a badminton court, and a Volleyball court. The well maintained green Campus contains 37 different teaching departments linked by well-maintained asphalt roads which make possible the collaboration of ideas and activities of various disciplines. Monthly debates and seminars on various topics affecting society, at auditoriums of various departments, ensure the right contribution of the University to the external world in terms of intellectual content.

Laboratory
The communication lab of the institute is well-equipped with State-of-the-Art audio visual aids ranging from LCD Projector, Overhead Projector to Television Set, Public Address System and computers with multimedia facilities. The students have free access to these facilities for seminars, presentations and workshops. The Institute has one of the best management libraries in India. The library is computerized and is a treasure house of over 6000 books related to management and allied topics.
