School of Tourism Hospitality Service Sectoral Management is affiliated to Indira Gandhi National Open University. Tourism and hospitality are the highest employment generators, and contribute significantly to the country's GDP, but they also demand quality manpower. With this in mind, IGNOU offers a series of courses at the School of Tourism Hospitality Service Sectoral Management (SOTHSM). It launched a modest certificate programme and followed it up with a series of courses: Diploma , Bachelors, Masters and the PhD programme.

| Doctor of Philosophy (Tourism Studies) | 1 | MPhil in the relevant subject/allied discipline from a recognised university/recognised institution of higher learning OR 5 years of teaching/industry/administration/professional experience at senior level and having made a demonstrable contribution. One also needs to have fifty-five percent marks in Post-Graduation (fifty percent in case of SC/ST), with course work or Master in Tourism or related discipline with fifty-five percent of marks. | Master of Arts (Tourism Management) | 1 | Category 1: BTS./BHM./BA (Tourism); and those students who have done their graduation in any field along with a Diploma in Tourism, which is recognised in the University system or by AICTE. Category 2: Diploma in Hotel Management (from an institute recognised by the NCHMCT or AICTE or a Bachelorβs Degree in any field). However, all students from Category 2 will have to pass four additional courses during their period of study. | - |
