The Govt. Homeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram started functioning during 1983 as Dr. K. J. Issac, as the Principal. College is affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by the Central Council of Homeopathy under the Department of AYUSH of Government of India. The College is owned by the Government of Kerala. The Five and a half years BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery) degree course was started on the same year
