The institute offers Bachelor of Technology course. The Govt.Engineering College, Wayanad is located in the hilly district of Wayanad. Wayanad was formerly called the `Wayalnadu` of Kerala, which is the elevated picturesque plataue on the crest of Western ghats. This college is one among the four new Engineering Colleges in the state established in 1999. It was inaugurated by the Hon. Education Minister, Mr. P.J.Joseph on 17th Jan 2000. The college took its shape in Nov 1999 with a total intake of 120 students in two branches viz. Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The college is located 6 km from Mananthavady .The campus is situated on the side of Mananthavady-Kannur State highway. This College is affiliated to Kannur University.
