Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Government Aviation Training Institute (GATI) was commenced in the year 1946 to make a large amount of development by upgrading the criteria of flying and ground training of commercial pilots in the country as Orissa Flying Club. GATI is a sweven of Mr. Biju Patnaik, an aeronautical engineer, navigator, an ace pilot, industrialist, an eminent freedom fighter and above all a crowning statesman of national and international repute. Institute has a tremendous record in producing commercial pilots for the innumerable airlines. Apart from this GATI gives emphasis on overall development, which include personality development, grooming classes and making enhancement in learner eloquent skills. Institute offers such a programmes Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Ground School, RTR (A), Student Pilots License (SPL), Flight Radio Telephone Operator's License (FRTOL), Night Rating, Instrument Rating, Patter Flying and Hobby Flying.
