The two libraries of erstwhile Assam Agricultural college, Jorhat and Assam Veterinary college, Khanapara, Guwahati were used as the springboard for shaping up the Assam Agricultural University Library when the University was established in April, 1969.Obviously, the history of Assam Agricultural University Library lies embeded in the history of these two libraries only.
