The Institute is also under the direct administrative control of the Department of Technical Education & Training, Government of West Bengal.

The institute has well equipped laboratories and devoted teachers in different departments. Some of the teachers are dedicated and exerts their level best efforts to make the students familiar with the practical knowledge in respect of their industrial and academic back ground.
Library
The institute has a well equipped library managed by a Librarian and two assisting staff. The total stock of books of different titles covering entire course curriculum of different fields of engineering is 3500. Number of copies available for use of students as well as teachers are approx 4500.Students are also entitled to avail reading room facility from 10.30 A.M. to 4.50 P.M.
