Department of Political Science is affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and approved by the by UGC. It is one of the oldest and biggest departments of the H.N.B. Garhwal University Srinagar as presently maximum numbers of students are studying Political Science in Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes. At the Postgraduate level the students are also encouraged to take dissertation on various regional and national issues basically the field based studies are preferred. Department is offering Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, Masters in Political Science courses.
