An Audio Visual Language and Phonetics Laboratory was established in 1984 from funds made available by the UGC. The Language Laboratory is one of of the components of the Laboratory complex. Manipur University Library is the nerve centre of academic activities for students, teachers and staff of the University. It is also a referral Library of the State.
