Academics pathetic, placement worse

Lets come to the crux without wandering around. A professional course, M.A. Mass Communication has just been to the mercy of administration and left to die a slow death. We do not have a HOD. The dean of Arts Faculty performs that role and he does not visit the department even once in a month. Mind you his office is just 200m from the dept. Library is a museum, with students not allowed to read books. Teachers indulge in height of groupism, and are quite unapologetic about it. And students are mobilized to align to those groups. Honestly this is what is happening here. Professors communication skills are a showoff, they cant even sort out personal differences. Just that students do not object to these practises and status quo remains. I am appalled to see a university ranked third in India by UGC and better than DU and Univ of Hyd. can be so disinterested? about the quality of students it will produce. Who cares, well after a while these things will come back and bite the VC and those accountable. Studio is a dream for the students of journalism, how ridiculous. Classes do not have a schedule, the PR activity of teachers is a major goal for the events organized.
