The department has thirteen laboratories for conducting various practical classes.A computer laboratory with HP, Compaq and IBM PCs has been developed exclusively for students of the department. The departmental library is being developed to support the academic thrust of the students and the faculty members of the department.

The Central Library, with a collection of over 41,000 books and 193 periodicals, subscribes to 49 international, 144 national journals including informative popular magazines. In addition to the above, it subscribes to 12 national and regional dailies to provide a base for enhanced learning.
