Department of Electronic Science is an integral part of the Pune University. The mission is to be a global, socially conscious Center of Excellence in the conservation, creation, Advancement and dissemination of knowledge, equipped to take up challenges of the enormous change taking place all around and committed to empower its faculty and students to contribute meaningfully to economic, technological and social development and progress.

Infrastructures

The department’s infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities.

Classroom

All the classrooms of the department are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

The Department has a fully equipped yellow room for optical lithography purpose. A SEM and plasma processing set up are also available for material characterization/processing . Development of Silicon based and thin/thick film microsensors is another activity carried out in the laboratory.

Library

Central Library of the University, is well-equipped with acclaimed national and international journals in addition to a huge collection of legal treatises and references, published in India and abroad.

SPPU, Pune is excellent

The faculty is friendly and is great. The college provides very good infrastructure, well-operating computers for the practical section, PCB, reference books and all other things you will get immediately from the staff. The college provides a System Design Lab, Cyber Lab For Electronics, Sensors, Materials, and MEMS Lab, Communication and RF Design Lab, Optoelectronic Sensor and systems Lab and Virtual Instrumentation Lab. The department has a very active placement cell, which is run by the students of the institute and supported by the faculty team. The placement cell acts as the industry interface of the department and assists the students in getting appointments for summer training as well as job placements.
