Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and, Archaeology is a part of Sri Venkateshwara University. The Department was established in 1993. Department is offers educational courses in the field of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology. It imparts training in Field Archaeology and carries research in the areas of Ancient Indian History, Epigraphy, Art History, Numismatics and Historical Archeology of Rayalaseema region and the ongoing research work has contributed in building up the collection of antiquities and photo archives of the archaeological sites and monuments.
