Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun was established in 2003 with the mission to develop academic and training competency in teaching professionals to help them create ‘future ready’ professionals’ for the Energy, Infrastructure and Transportation sectors. UPES is a non profit organisation registered under the Societies Act, 1860 dedicated to promoting education and training in Energy and allied sectors. UPES offers an opportunity to build further on domain-specific skills, required in engineering and management, something that most international universities offer, but which is unheard of in India. UPES is also actively involved in advance research under its eleven research centers in the domains of choice
