Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology (CAHCET) was established in the year 1998. The college has been approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is accredited by NBA, ISO 9001-2000 certified. The college had to its credit two additional courses - B.Tech-Informational Technology and B.E-Electronics communication engineering. In 2006-07, the intake of students in E.C.E and C.S.E department was increased from 60 to 90. Two PG courses, viz MBA and M.E Applied Electronics were also started in 2006-07.

Placement
The CAHCET Placement Cell guides students on the road to success in interviews. Its activities include the periodical organization of on-campus and off-campus interviews through Anna University’s Tamil Nadu-state-level placement programme and individual consortia.

The CAHCET Central Library has been classified into several sections to effectuate the learning experience - the Book Acquisition Section, Technical Processing Section, Reference Section, Circulation Section, Newspaper Section and Reprographic Section are some of such very many sections that blend an easy access to easy location for an easy but effective reading.
