Bunts Sangha’s Higher Education Project was initiated in the year 2003 at Kurla with an aim to provide Higher Education to students. Bunts Sangha’s Higher Educational Institution’s at Shashi Manmohan Shetty Complex has launched colleges for almost every field of studies from Commerce to Information Technology, from Mass Media to BMS to Hospitality Management as also for Post-Graduation courses such as M.Com and MBA and the Junior college for Science and Commerce. UKSIMSR is a part of this Group and is located at the complex in Kurla.
UKS Institute of Management Studies & Research offers all AICTE approved courses, is located in the heart of Central Mumbai and having easy connectivity through all modes of transport.
UKS has a state of the art infrastructure, a 2000 seater auditorium, two 500 seater mini-auditoriums, hostel facilities for boys and girls, banking facilities, Hi-tech air conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, library with 2000 plus books, 37 journals & the E-journal “J-Gate”, training and discussion rooms and even an inbuilt posh restaurant to support its student canteen.
UKS is a market ready business school, which will produce students with analytical abilities and abilities to handle real business situations efficiently and to give the best possible results. Our students will be sensitized to the changing and challenging dynamics of global environment, ethics and social responsibility so that they can become better citizens of the modern world.
This is being facilitated through faculty who has extensive academic and industry experience, a curriculum facilitating not only classroom learning but also ongoing hands on industry exposure.
The novel concept of ‘Destination Lectures’ introduced for the first time by UKS. Destination Lectures are unique ‘out of the classroom’ lectures and simulation exercises held by the institute at exotic and interesting locations in and around the city. The students get a much needed change of scene from the classroom and a teaching-learning atmosphere with a difference is provided.

Pedagogy

Placement
Success comes to those who prepare well and put in effort. For us, placement is not an activity that begins in the third semester. We have a comprehensive plan in place and our pre-placement training takes place concurrently with the course. Our placement preparation includes sharpening your communication, presentation, aptitude and attitudinal skills. UKS will also train you in group discussions, mock interviews, and interview FAQs.
Infrastructures
The Institute premises are spread over 48,419 sq. ft. area. It is fitted with state-of-the-art devices and equipment conducive to carrying out best-in-class academic activities like library, Wi-Fi campus etc.

Extra Curricular Details
“UMEED” is the annual inter-collegiate fest conducted by UKSIMSR. It is an inter-collegiate event. Many colleges participate in this. event . Sports day of Bunts Sangha’s Higher Education Institutions is organized on Khalsa College grounds every year in which colleges of all the Bunts Sangha institutions located at Kurla participate. “JALLOSH” is the annual day of the Bunts Sangha Institutions organized in December every year. Besides, Students participate in various inter-collegiate cultural, management and sports events of other colleges. Debates, management games and various literary events are also conducted in the college.
