Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT ) was established in the year 1986 as the first Engineering College in Private Sector in the undivided State of Madhya Pradesh. Started in a very modest scale with four undergraduate courses in Engineering (B.E.) is now risen to catering MBA & MCA courses.
Aspiration to excel leads the trust to extend its branch towards capital city Raipur. The search results fixed to a site in New Raipur where the present Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur is nearing its seventh anniversary.
The Institutes are managed by a Board of Trustees headed by the Managing Trustee. The Trust comprises of leading duly constituted Governing Body consisting of the representatives of the Trust, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), State Government and Affiliating University. industrialists, senior bureaucrats, management experts, peoples’ representatives, and notable social workers. Day-to-day activities of the Institute are controlled and monitored by a board of trustees.

Infrastructures
The institute’s infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities. A comfortable mode of transport is provided by the institute. Medical facility is also available. A well maintained hygienic canteen facility is also available in the campus under the guidance of experienced caterer.
Classroom
All the classrooms of the department are well furnished with all modern facilities.
Laboratory
The computer lab has been constructed with about 180 sq-mt area to houses 60 (Of HP ) Pentium–IV/ Pentium Dual Core computers and installed with advanced legal software’s. Networking will be done to connect these computers to the main server. Windows, DOS, Unix, Linux and NT platforms (at least two) and major more than four application software will be made available at student’s disposal. Internet facility will be available round the clock. A well equipped language lab is also available.
Library
The institute library have a rich collection of books in reference section for its users. Previous year question papers, GRE, GATE & TOEFL Books, and Dictionaries & Handbooks also available in library.
