Youth Summit 2013 by Apeejay School of Management

To create the awareness about environment among undergraduate students, Apeejay School of Management (Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies) conducted a youth summit on November 13, 2013.

Students from entire NCR were invited to participate in the summit. Summit was comprises of following excited events:

• Inter-college power point presentation

• Inter-college quiz on environment

• Inter-college Nature Photography competition

These events were free of cost. There was no registration fee imposed. There were also attractive prizes for winners. All participants were awarded with certificate of Participation.

Topics for presentation were:

• Water Conservation: Role of Citizens and Communities

• Leveraging Alternative Sources of Energy

• Carbon Credit: Opportunities and Challenges for Developing Countries

• Combating Air Pollution: Role of Industries and the State

• Combating Water Pollution: Role of Industries and the State

• Sound Pollution: A silent Killer

• Role of Youth in Protecting the Earth

• Globalization & Sustainable Development

• Conservation of Wild-life: Issues and Challenges

• Emerging Treats to Ecological Balance

Teams comprised of two participants from different colleges had participated among which 6 teams got selected for final round.
