Young Women in Science: Scholarship Programme 2012 by L'Oreal India

In its efforts to encourage women to pursue careers in science, L’Oréal India has announced, for the tenth consecutive year, the ‘For Young Women in Science’ Scholarships programme 2012.

Ten remarkable Class 12 girls from Maharashtra and Delhi NCR will be awarded Rs.2.5 lakh each, granted over a period of four years for graduate studies in a scientific field from a recognised college or University in India.

The L’Oréal India Scholarships For Young Women in Science Programme is an extension of the International L’Oréal Unesco for Women in Science partnership.

Eligibility Criteria: 

You are eligible if you are a young woman who has passed your Class 12 exams from Delhi/ NCR(Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad)/ Maharashtra, in the current academic year (ended March 2012), with a minimum of 85% in PCM/PCB and are not over 19 years of age on May 31, 2012.

This scholarship is open for study in any field of science: medicine ,  engineering ,  information technology ,  pharmacy ,  biotechnology , and other graduate courses pertaining to science (BSc).

Forms need to be submitted along with the relevant documents (mentioned in the application form) no later than June 30, 2012 at the address mentioned above.
