XLRI's General Management Programme (GMP) is Now AICTE Approved

XLRI’s Executive MBA programme, popularly known as General Management Programme (GMP), is now AICTE approved. One of the oldest executive MBA programmes in India, AICTE approved it on the condition of increasing the course duration from 12 months to 15 months.

XLRI’s GMP is a one year executive MBA course that attracts aspirants with more than 5 years of work experience. It is for the very first time that AICTE has approved a one-year diploma course of a leading B-School.

According to AICTE regulations, any programme of less than two years or 15 months duration is considered as certificate programme. This was one of the reasons why the course duration has been increased to 15 months. “Students will be eligible for higher studies both in India and abroad. It will be of help for government jobs where recognized diplomas are needed,” said Fr E Abraham, Director of XLRI.

When asked if there shall be any changes in the fee structure due to the increased course duration, Fr Abraham said, “one of the benefits of getting a programme approved by AICTE is that service tax will not be charged.”
