Xavier School of Commerce Admissions 2014: Last Date to Apply is 15th May

Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) has been established in accordance with the Xavier University Odisha Act-2013 and this private university located at Bhubaneswar in the state of Odisha. The university, with professionally managed Board of Governors, is a private self-financing institution of higher learning for imparting specialized education.  

Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), a 27-year-old business school, is the flagship school of Xavier University and owes its origin to a "Social Contract" of 1987 between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society. It is acknowledged internationally as a world class Business School which provides quality management programmes and develops futuristic managers with strong ethics and values.

Now, School of Commerce of Xavier University, Bhubaneswar has started the following graduate programmes in Commerce and Management Studies for the academic year 2014-15:

1. Bacholer of Commerce - Accounting
2. Bachelor of Commerce - Finance
3. Bachelor of Management Studies - Marketing
4. Bachelor of Management Studies - HR

The programme structure has been designed by a body consisting of top ranked academicians, professional, bankers and representatives from other industrial sectors.

Eligibility Criteria:

a). Minimum 55% in aggregate in any discipline in +2 level examinations Conducted by any recognized Board/Universities;

b) Not More than 19 years of age as on 1st of June, 2014.

Mode of Selection:

Eligible candidates shall be required to appear for a written test. Selected candidates shall be given admission to the respective programs subject to fulfillment of the eligible criteria. However, a few seats may be allotted to highly meritorious students (95% and above).

Examination centers: Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and Delhi

About the Entrance Exam

The entrance examination will be of Online Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) nature. Each question will have four options such as (a), (b) (c), and (d) of which only one option is correct.

Topics to be covered in the examination

Economics, General English, Business Mathematics and statistics, and Reasoning

2. After submitting the online application form, you can click on Edit your response and take print out of the filled in application form. You are also required to send the hard copy of the printout to Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Xavier Square, Bhubaneswar, Odisha duly attaching the demand draft for Rs.1,000 and photocopies of certificates and mark sheets so as to reach on or before May 20, 2014. 

3. Application forms can also be filled up at any IMS center in your city.

Application opens: April 15, 2014
Application closes: May 15, 2014

Written Test: May 25, 2014
Declaration of Results: 2nd week of June, 2014

Programme starts: July 14, 2014
