Graphic Era University (GEU) Faculty makes a world record for the longest lecture of 139.42 Hours. Arvind Mishra, a faculty from Graphic Era University gave his dedicated lecture on “Scientific computations” and makes the world record of longest lecture ever.
He dedicated his record 139.42 hours marathon lecture on to the profession of teaching and to the world’s academic community. Calling it a day at 1:42 a.m. in the morning, Mishra, faculty at the Mechanical Engineering Department, bettered the current Guinness Record for the world’s longest oral lecture by 18 hours, 42 minutes and 39 seconds.
Speaking to the media in a press conference at GEU he said that the intent behind was to inspire his students and become a role model for them. This is his yearlong intense preparation and dedication towards the goal that he made it secure a place in Guinness Book.
Recognizing the person behind his success Mr. Mishra said,” “I could not have done without the 100% support and guidance of Prof. Kamal Ghanshala Sir at every stage (president of Graphic Era University)” and thanked the entire management and staff of the university.
To honour his dedication and endeavour, Prof. Kamal Ghanshala has announced a double salary appraisal for Arvind Mishra along with an honorarium of 1 lakh rupees.
