National Service Scheme Community Fellowship, an initiative of The Blue Ribbon Movement has been voted second best initiative by the World Forum for Democracy and conferred with ‘Democracy Innovation Award ‘during an event held from November 3-5, 2014 in Strasbourg, France.
The Strasburg World Forum for Democracy is an annual meeting of world leaders from many different fields where they gather to debate and form insights over the global democratic process; the discussions, in turn, inform the work of the Council of Europe and its many partners.
Abhishek Thakore, a co-founder of the Blue Ribbon Movement, is presently in Strasbourg to represent NSS CCF’s work at the Forum, where representatives of global youth initiatives met this week to discuss the key challenges faced by democracies world-wide.
