Workshop on Potential Research Avenues and Emerging Technologies - Electrical Engineering by Reva Institute of Technology and Management (RITM)

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Reva Group of Educational Institutions in association with R&D Labs, CSE Department, RV College of Engineering, Bangalore organized an Interfacing & Product Development for ISE, CSE and ECE faculty of engineering colleges affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

About Reva Institute of Technology & Management

Reva Institute of Technology & Management (RITM/ Reva ITM) was founded in 2004under the aegis of Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust as the educational venture of a leading business group. The institute is affiliated to VTU, Belgaum and is approved AICTE, New Delhi.

The workshop organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Reva Institute of Technology & Management (RITM) was open for all faculties from engineering colleges, M. Tech students and research scholars of data mining & image processing.  

Electrical engineering has opened up new horizons for young engineers to explore in fields such as power systems, power electronics and high voltage engineering. The rapid development in these areas coupled with the boom in the power sector has created abundant opportunities for qualified and trained engineers. This faculty development programme is therefore aimed at exposing the engineering faculty to these developments and make them aware of the new research opportunities to upgrade themselves to face new challenges.

Eminent researchers from IISC, CPRI, BHEL, KPTCL will deliver lectures related to the state of art technologies in the field of HV engineering, HVDC transmission, Power Electronics, and Power Systems. The workshop is a platform to bring together experts various domains in the field of electrical engineering with the teaching fraternity for a productive chain of ideas.
