Word of the Day ~ Procrastination

Finally, after minutes of deliberation, I zeroed in for the word of the day ~ Procrastination. A long, yet chirpy word; in modern language it is a “cool” word. I read an article a year ago that in colleges, students, especially English Literature students adore using long “Swag” words and procrastination is one of them. Eh! It sounds too classy (Read:  Old) for anything, but yeah, it does sound cool. Try saying – “Yaar, I couldn’t complete the assignment, I was procrastinating”. Instead of saying “I am quite lazy”, while describing yourself, try saying, “I procrastinate a lot”. How different and swaggy it sounds! (Swaggy isn’t a word, just something made up!)

So, what do you think? Are you going to include it in your daily words' list? Are you trying saying it now?

But oh! I have been procrastinating, veering off the topic. Lol!

 Without much ado, I am going ahead to write something stolid about it.

Meaning:                   Delay doing something, hesitating to work

Usage:                       It is commonly used both as a noun and as a verb. Though it has gained popularity more as a verb; as an action word.

Where did I discover it?

Hmmmm... I don’t exactly remember where I did discover this word but I think it was on a Role Play Site (RPG Site). I was role playing with a friend and he suddenly used this word. I didn’t notice it much, just disregarded it as some difficult word. Then in one status thread (in that site, we have status threads where we posted statuses in the third person), many users posted their statuses as "they were procrastinating as it was their summer holidays." That got me interested to this word and I have been sort of attached to it! :)
