As per the new proposed schedule by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission, the written exam for the post of SI (Sub Inspector) Food is likely to be conducted on 27th July 2014. The duration of the exam would be 90 minutes and it will have 100 questions from the General Studies and 50 questions from the Arithmetic. Both the subjects’ carry 50 marks each so there are 100 marks in all. Each correct answer for the General Studies will carry 0.5 marks while 0.125 marks would be deducted for a wrong answer. Similarly, each correct answer for arithmetic carries 1 mark and wrong answers carry a deduction of 0.25 marks.
Personality Test would succeed the written exam and the final selection would depend on both these parameters.
Eligibility Criteria:
· Passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
· Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali / Nepali.
· Must possess sound health, ability to undertake extensive tours in rural areas of West Bengal.
