VITMEE 2014 for M.Tech and MCA Admissions

Students can get admission in the Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Technology (M. Tech) programmes at the VIT University by appearing for the VITMEE 2014 entrance exam.

The students can take admission either in the Chennai or Vellore campus for the session commencing in 2014.

Eligibility Criteria:

 For MCA:

Candidates should have:

• a bachelor degree in any branch with at least one of the following subjects at the under graduate level:

          Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics and Business Mathematics.

• Candidates must have 60% of marks from any of the recognised university. Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.

For M.Tech:

• Candidates should have an B.E / B.Tech degree in Engineering / Technology discipline with 50% of marks from any of the recognised university. Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure:

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their VITMEE scores and interview conducted by the university.
• Application for MCA / M.TECH programme will be available online at vit.ac.in from the First week of February.

Exam Pattern:

The computer based test (CBT) question paper consists of 110 questions, with a maximum of 100 marks. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers.
