Vellore University is the conducting body of VITEEE 2022. VITEEE stands for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination. The candidates should give the entrance examination of Vellore University in order to get admission. The qualifying candidates after the exam will be provided admission. To give the VIT 2022 entrance exam, the candidates should fulfill the eligibility criteria for the same. Once the results are out, the qualified candidates will get their score card and rank in the VITEEE 2022. Those eligible candidates will be given admission in its campuses either in Vellore or in Chennai on the basis of the merit list. The rank or score card will be made on the basis of the candidate's percentile score in the qualifying exam of VITEEE 2022.

How to calculate VITEEE Cut off?
- The calculation will be based on percentile method; an equating method is used to calculate the rank of the candidates in the entrance exam for VITEEE 2022.
- The score secured in different slots with the same percentile will be considered to be same.
- Students need to know that the VITEEE cut off will not be applicable to the requirement of qualifying marks which you need, to be able to clear the entrance exam.
- VIT appoints a panel which decides the admission and counselling of students. This panel will decide the VITEEE 2022 cut off on the basis of the number of received applications, the total number of students appeared for the exam and the no of total seats in various courses in the respective campuses.

The cut-off mark is made on the basis of these factors.
- Candidates performance in the qualifying exam of VITEEE 2022
- Lowest and the highest marks scored by the candidates
- Number of seats available for seat allotment
- Number of the candidates who appeared for the examination VIT University
- The annual intake of candidates by this exam.
- Those students who have their rank between 1 and 8000 will be called on the first day of counseling
- Those candidates whose rank fall between 8001 to 12000, will be called for the second counselling day
- On the third counselling day, candidates having rank 12001 and 16000 will be called
- During phase 2 of VITEEE counselling, the candidates whose rank fall between 20000 to 99000 will be given chance to attend the counselling
- There will be no minimum mark for getting admission in VIT University. the only requirement is that the candidates should pass the qualifying examination.
- The exam is a computer based entrance test which will be held in different slots on different days.
- VITEEE Cut off 2022 is not applicable as a qualifying mark.
