UPSC Announces Combined Defence Services (CDS) II Exam 2015 Date

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that it will conduct the Combined Defence Services (CDS  II) Exam on November 1, 2015.

The exam is held for the recruitment of aspirants for various vacancies in the Indian Naval Academy, Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and the Officers Training Academy.

ELIGIBILITY:

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, or a person of Indian-origin who has migrated to India with the intention of permanently settling in India
• Within the age bracket of 20-24 years, male or female and unmarried. However, the criteria are flexible for admission into different academies
• A graduate degree holder from a recognized University, preferably engineering and/or Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level
• Physically fit according to physical standards to be eligible for CDS Examination

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Candidates are required to apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in where detailed instructions of filling in the form are available. After providing the details, the candidates can make the payment of the application fees and keep a copy of the same for future reference.
 

EXAMINATION:

The written examination, objective in nature, will consist of questions from English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics for IMA, INA and AFA whereas for OTA, the question paper will comprise of questions from English and General Knowledge only.

EXAMINATION CENTRES:

UPSC will conduct the CDS-II exam across major cities of India like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Agra, Agartala, Gangtok, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Aizawl, Imphal, Port Blair, Allahabad, Itanagar, Raipur, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Ranchi, Bareily, Jammu, Sambalpur, Bhopal, Jorhat, Shillong, Chandigarh, Kochi, Shimla, Chennai, Kohima, Srinagar, Cuttack, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Dehradun, Lucknow, Madurai, Tirupati, Dharwar, Udaipur, Dispur, Nagpur, and Vishakhapatnam.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Candidates are short listed basis the written examination, which is followed by a personality test and an interview round.
