Many colleges & students (Arts, Science, Commerce and Technology streams) of University of Mumbai claim that they were uninformed about the rescheduling of exams that were to be held on May 16.
On Monday (May 5), few colleges put up notices regarding the postponement of the exams to May 24. According to the examination in-charge of Western Suburban College, the university has not revised timetable yet. Few college authorities claim that they had not received any notification from the university. However, students confirmed that on May 16, they would go to the centre to avoid any confusion.
Another problem that will occur with the postponing of exams is that there will not be even a single day’s gap between the final semester paper and Allowed to Keep Terms (ATKT). As per the college’s authorities, university officials asked them to check official website of University of Mumbai to get latest updates.
According to Padma Deshmukh, controller of examinations, University of Mumbai, the colleges haven’t put up any updated timetable as it was clear that the examination was postponed to May 24.
