University of Calcutta Invites Applications for Ph.D Programme

University of Calcutta (CU) has announced admissions open for the Doctor of Philosophy programme (Ph.D) in the Department of Environmental Science for the session 2022. The eligible Candidates can send in the applications for Ph.D at Calcutta University latest by December 14, 2022. Aspirants should note that an admission test will be conducted on December 22, 2022, whereas the interview for the same will be conducted on December 26, 2022.

Calcutta University Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D Admissions 2022

The interested candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in environmental science and allied subjects with at least 55% in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale from a recognised institute or university. Also, applicants must have had Chemistry as a combination subject at the Bachelor's level.

How to Apply for Ph.D at Calcutta University 2022 

Prospective candidates can submit the application forms in the prescribed format along with the documents required in person or send application forms by post at the Office of the Department of Environmental Science, Room No. 863, 7th floor, 35 Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata- 700019. The applications should reach on or before December 14, 2022. 

Interested candidates who want to take admission into CU Ph.D Programme need to pay just INR 100 as a registration fee. 

Selection Process for Admission in Ph.D at Calcutta University  

The selection of the candidate for CU Ph.D Programme will be based on their performance in Research Eligibility Test (RET) and an interview that university will conduct for the same. Aspirants who have cleared UGC/CSIR (JR) examinations or even NET/GATE/M.Phil/M.Tech required not appear for the CU Ph.D entrance test. However, they need to appear in and qualify the interview.
