University of Allahabad National Workshop -2015

University of Allahabad will organise national workshop in National Centre of Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology (NCEMP). The topic of the workshop is on High P-T Techniques for Material Synthesis and Characterization.

It's a seven days workshop, which will start from November 23, 2015 and ending on November 29, 2015. The national workshop will emphasises on experimental demonstrations of different synthesis/characterization techniques at high pressures-temperatures based on the state of the art facilities and expertise available:

• Walker-type Multi-anvil HP-HT Apparatus (up to 20 GPa),
• Kennedy-type Piston Cylinder HP-HT Apparatus,
• Tuttle-type Hydrothermal Apparatus,
• Electron Probe Micro Analyzer (EPMA),
• Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM),
• Powder X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Technique,
• Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR),
• Electrical Conductivity (EC),
• Ultrasonic wave velocity (USWV),
• Magnetic Susceptibility (MS) Measurements,
• Sample powdering by Planetary Ball Mill,
• Sol-Gel Synthesis,
• Polymer Film preparation Technique and
• Glass & Ceramic Synthesis Techniques.
