Two More DU Cutoffs Likely, Seats Still Vacant in 32 DU Colleges

Even when the fifth and final DU cutoff list is out, seats still remain vacant in 32 DU colleges. For this, colleges under DU will issue merit list on July 27, 2022. However, before that, students can apply again for their preferred courses and colleges on the university’s centralized admission portal until July 26, 2022. Unlike the years gone by, DU has to release more cutoffs to the number it announced earlier to fill the seats in colleges under it.

After admissions for DU’s fifth cutoff list ended on July 23, 2022, a few seats have been left vacant in each course in around 32 colleges under Delhi University. Some seats are available in OBC categories too as candidates become eligible for the unreserved category owing to fall in percentage with the announcement of the fifth cutoff list. To fill those seats, two more cutoff lists are likely from DU.

Admissions to B.Com (Hons) and B.Com are still open in DU colleges like Daulat Ram, Sri Aurobindo and Aryabhatta. A total of 305 seats are up for grab for 21 courses in Kirori Mal College alone but admission to B. Com (Hons) has been closed for general category candidates. Around 39 B.Com seats are available for ST, OBC, SC, PwD and Kishimiri migrants. A total of 33 seats are still lying vacant for both general and other category students, three seats are open for Economics and two for B.A English.  

Besides this, 251 seats are still available for candidates of all categories in Ramjas College, whereas 16 seats are still available for admission to B.A course in the general category, five seats in political science and one each in Hindi and English as well as 13 for B.Sc Chemistry.     

Seats are available in LSR College too. Students can take admission in psychology and philosophy courses in general category. In addition to this, prestigious colleges like Hans Raj, Miranda House and Indraprastha College are also accepting fresh applications for admissions to various courses. To help colleges fill all the seats, DU might release two more cutoff lists.
