Two day workshop on Software testing as Career at Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) organized a workshop on October 23-24, 2014 on the subject "Software Testing as Career".

Workshop was done by Technophilia Group under the co-ordination of "Mr. Harivans Pratap Singh”, the teacher coordinator.

This workshop was basically for the students of IT( Information technology), CS( Computer science) and EE( Electronic engineering) branch, and serves the purpose well.

Speaker of the workshop was "Mr. Gaurav Goel”; co-founder, director of Brain-pully, Bangalore. He has years of experience in testing unified communication and business intelligence domain. Brainpully has been consistently picking up certification and other recognitions every year. It is "Microsoft authorised" reseller, "Microsoft partner" network and Exin ITIL partner.

This workshop covered the important topics like testing, test plans, reviews, test cases writing, type of testing, unix knowledge, windows debugging and SQL knowledge requirement in testing. This topic was selected by considering the importance of testing in the market as this is very important part of any project.

It also offers MBA and MCA courses. For admission in B Tech programmes, one should have 10+2 degree with Physics and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks. Chemistry/Bio-Technology /Computer Science/Biology. M Tech Candidates must have 60% marks in B Tech or 75 percent score in GATE. For MCA and MBA candidates should have Bachelor degree from recognized university in any discipline with minimum 50%. Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or Graduation level is compulsory for MCA.

Admission is based on AIEEE rank for Under Graduate, GATE score for M.Tech, for MBA there are UPSEE/CAT/MAT, and MCA is on basis of UPSEE.
